The University of West London is a leading modern university specialising in the education and development of exceptional creative, business and service professionals.

The Dementia Care Centre (DCC) is part of the College of Nursing Midwifery and Healthcare and is led by Professor Victoria Tischler. It focuses upon innovative and creative approaches to dementia care, with ambitious plans to become a world leader in this area of study.

This position will undertake an extensive scoping review to underpin planned research activity about Montessori approaches to dementia care.

Dementia Care research and teaching focuses on a portfolio of projects on creative and multi-sensory care, and accredited training that offers bespoke courses to meet the needs of a diverse workforce.

The post holder will carry out the following research activities: building links with relevant services, data collection for scoping review, setting up databases (if appropriate), data analysis and disseminating results and conclusions by the preparation of presentations and papers.

The post holder will be required to co-ordinate the different stages of the research.

The post holder should have a higher degree, knowledge of dementia care, and experience of research. They will also need experience of quantitative and qualitative analysis and project management.

Please be advised that it is expected that appointment within a grade will normally be at the minimum point.
