Bring your strong communication, teamwork and customer care skills to join our student focused Hospitality team at our Eastbourne Campus  where you will work and thrive within our innovative food outlets whilst enhancing the student experience.

In this fixed-term role, you will be responsible for carrying out front-of-house duties, operating cash tills in line with departmental policy, assisting in placing orders, answering customer enquiries and ensuring the university policies and procedures are followed at all times. The ability and aptitude to work in a busy customer facing role is essential, as is the ability to communicate well with customers in order to provide a high-quality service. 

Previous experience in a similar role and cash handling experience is essential. A current Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable, although training can be given

This post is for 52 weeks per year, 37 hours per week.  Hours will be split over 5 days between 06:30 & 20:30 Monday to Friday depending on business demands and work patterns will be discussed/agreed in advance.  You will move between Sprinters Restaurant which offers breakfast and dinner to 350 students breakfast and a lunchtime offer and Greynore which offers breakfast, lunch and afternoon food.

The post is fixed term to August 2019 to cover a period of staff leave.
