We are now seeking to recruit a number of outstanding individuals for a key research and teaching positions in a number of disciplines as outlined below to play a crucial role in the School achieving its vision.

The Department of Decision Analytics and Risk at Southampton comprises more than 30 academics with teaching and research interests that include Management Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Operations and Risk Management. Members of the department have published in multiple top journals and are part of CORMSIS research centre. The department has a thriving undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio, which is built on the research strengths of the department staff.

You will have a PhD or equivalent degree/professional qualifications and experience in Business Analytics and an established track record of research publications at a minimum ABS 3* level (or equivalent standing), coupled with research grant activity. We are especially interested in the areas of business analytics, including big data analytics and/or deep learning.  We particularly welcome candidates who have experience with current machine learning/big data frameworks, e.g. Keras, Tensorflow or Pytorch. You will also demonstrate a strong interest in innovative approaches to teaching and be expected to provide research support (as appropriate) and mentoring to others in the group.
