Information Services are looking to invest in a passionate and driven Senior Business Analyst. This role will work directly with key stakeholders across the University to understand existing and future business requirements, systems and processes and help define how changes to services can be successfully and consistently delivered to add value to the learning, teaching, research and operational activities of the University. 

Core Skills

Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification/experienceSubstantial experience of Business Analysis in a complex and fast-paced enterprise environment using a variety of methodologies and techniques (e.g. business cases, use cases, business process modelling, data modelling, user stories, UML)Experience of a range of different environments which make use of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, as well as ITIL service creationExperience of analysing complex cross-functional business requirements, reviewing and improving business processesProven experience in building strong relationships across complex organisations, stakeholder groups and partner organisationsAbility to identify, manage and resolve conflicts while building successful business relationships across a range of stakeholder groupsAbility to contribute to the continuous improvement of the maturity/capability of Business Analysis at the University

Communication

Self-motivated, dynamic individual, able to engage, challenge and influence others and maintain collaborative working relations across IT/non IT departmentsAct as an ambassador for the BA role. Promote awareness to help colleagues within the wider university to understand the value to the organisationPassionate about the role of Business Analysis and motivated to make a significant contribution to the BA Community of Practice

This is a permanent full-time post, however job share arrangements may be considered.
