We are seeking an experienced and pro-active individual who will take responsibility for the management and administration of our Virtual Learning Environment (Blackboard) and other related learning technologies, software and systems. They will also play a lead role in our development of distance learning programmes, blended and online provision. The post involves working directly with students and academic and professional staff.  As well as ensuring the day to day management and administration of the Virtual Learning Environment and its continuing development, the Digital Learning Technologist will develop and deliver training and support in their use across the University. The post holder will be creative both in the use of technology and in the development of support materials. They will be confident in delivering training to individuals and small and large groups of staff and/or students.  Excellent IT skills are required for this post and good communication, organisational and inter-personal skills are also essential.
