Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have an established background in either Translational or Fundamendal Plant Sciences, Sustainable Agriculture, or Plant Insect Interactions? Do you want to further your career in one of the UKs leading research intensive Universities?

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who would lead research and teaching activity in sustainable agriculture, plant-insect interactions, or other areas of fundamental and translational plant science. You will play a key role in advancing our vision for crop science research at Leeds by working at the interface of fundamental and applied plant science to develop research aimed at achieving the sustainable intensification of agriculture. As a member of the Centre for Plant Sciences and School of Biology you will become part of a vibrant and highly interdisciplinary research environment at Leeds. Leveraging and extending our expertise in crop science, plant development and genetics, and insect development and ecology.  You will be supported by cross-faculty initiatives including the Global Food and Environment Institute and the Priestley Centre for Climate Futures, and by new, multi-million pound investment in state-of-the-art research infrastructure including our Farm2Lab plant growth facilities on main campus and highly instrumented Smart farm | University of Leeds.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students by contributing to the development of outstanding graduates and scholars. This will be achieved through innovative teaching and mentorship, enriching our teaching programme at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels within the School of Biology.
