The Lancaster Environment Centre (LEC) is seeking to appoint a Logistics and Services Assistant Technician. The role is offered as an Apprenticeship within the Departmental Services Technical team, starting on a grade 3, and progressing to grade 4 upon successful completion of a period of training.
The training you will receive
Training will be provided in the workplace through Myerscough College where you will work towards a Level 2 Horticultural Operative Standard Apprenticeship. There is also the possibility to progress further on to the Advanced Apprenticeship at the end of your initial training.
What you will do in your working day
You will assist with the oversight of loan field equipment for teaching and research, support the management of the LEC Field Station including regular participation in meteorological observations and maintenance of the site, and work alongside the Plant Growth Facility Technicians to ensure effective service delivery.
You will be able to:

• Work well in a team to complete tasks effectively.

• Convey information clearly and accurately to others.
• Organise work to meet deadlines.
