Stop smoking practitioners with research experience are invited to apply for this post which involves overseeing and delivering NHS-standard stop smoking interventions to pregnant participants in the University of Nottingham’s Smoking in Pregnancy (SiP) Research Group’s studies.  The successful applicant will assist the SiP group’s lead for smoking cessation interventions (the ‘Interventions Lead’) with whom you will regularly liaise. 

You will deliver some stop smoking interventions and will induct, train, advise and support the Interventions Lead in managing of a small team of Stop Smoking Practitioners (SSPs) who provide most SiP group study interventions.

The SSP team are ‘virtual’, delivering interventions by video call to participants across England and Wales, flexibly working varied hours from geographically dispersed locations.

This is a part-time (14.5 hours), fixed-term post to 31st December 2025. Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
