The successful candidate will join a dynamic and inspiring research group with ample opportunities to collaborate with members of a large consortium and spend time in collaborators’ laboratories across Europe.

The focus of this project is developing novel organ-on-chip type tissue models with particular interest in barrier tissues (lung and skin) and liver. We are specifically interested in inclusion of immune cells in these tissue models.  The work involves use and optimisation of microfluidic devoices, primary mammalian cell culture, analytical techniques and cell-based assays including but not limited to multi-cell co-cultures, high content cell phenotyping using microscopy and flow cytometry, cytokine production and metabolite characterisation using different techniques.
