About the Role

As a Senior Lecturer in Practice Learning, you will significantly contribute to the recruitment, monitoring and quality assurance of placement learning opportunities in the undergraduate medical school programmes.  As part of the placement education team, you will take a lead within certain areas of the department portfolio of courses, working with providers to ensure high quality experiences for our students and supporting other practice education lecturers within the team to ensure students are well supported within placement. Working with academic and placement staff, you will ensure that students are adequately prepared for placement and have the resources required to support placement learning.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. You will have previous experience of working in and supporting students in a health care setting, teaching expertise at undergraduate level, preferably to health students, and capability in providing excellent pastoral support. 

To be successful you will further enrich our students’ experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of professional practice.
