About the Role

Edge Hill University are seeking to appoint an experienced senior professional to the role of Pro Vice-Chancellor (Resources). We are a highly successful and ambitious University, a past winner of the University of the Year award (Times Higher) and 2022 Modern University of the Year (Times and Sunday Times).

You will have the capacity to work effectively across a full resource and infrastructure portfolio. Whilst your skill set is of vital importance, we want to appoint an individual who supports and enhances the vision, culture and ethos of a University that seeks to place students at the forefront of all we do. 

The PVC (Resources) portfolio is broad and may include the strategic leadership of Finance, Facilities Management, IT and Digital Services, Strategic Planning, Human Resources and Capital Developments, although the precise responsibilities will reflect the skills of the individual appointed.

You will join a well-run University with a clear set of achievable aspirations and outstanding colleagues. A key member of the Vice-Chancellor’s Executive Group (known as Directorate), you will play a critical role in supporting the University’s strategic development and delivery of operational plans and objectives. The role drives financial and operating performance, and through effective collaboration, delivers our strategic plan and vision.

Together with the Executive team, you will ensure that the University continues to develop, by motivating and engaging staff at all levels, communicating proactively and influencing internal stakeholders and external partners on behalf of the University.
