About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Administration Manager to join the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to provide administrative and organizational support for the Pro Vice Chancellor (Research)/ Dean and the Associate Dean (Research) of the Faculty of Arts & Sciences. You will offer a professional and dynamic service to a range of customers, whilst also ensuring compliance within the Faculty and institutional policies and procedures. 

Through this position you will be an effective leader with a key focus on working across a portfolio of research and knowledge exchange projects, taking a proactive role in supporting academic colleagues in all aspects of finance and administration of externally funded projects. You will work closely with direct departmental administrators to provide strategic co-coordination and management of administrative functions.

About You

You will be a self-starter and an effective leader and team player with successful experience of working within a Higher Education environment, preferably in a research support role with a significant understanding of the sector. We are looking for someone who is highly numerate with the ability to use Microsoft Excel and finance systems to monitor and administrate accounts.

To be successful, you will have experience of committee management and the preparation of formal committee papers. You will display flexibility and resilience in everything you do, quickly making you an invaluable member of our team.
