The Workforce Development team in the Department of Human Resources wish to appoint a Learning & Organisational Development Manager!

The department has recently brought the design and delivery of our leadership and management development in-house and we need to consolidate that change. You will relish working with stakeholders across a diverse organisation to define and provide growth experiences for our leaders and managers.

Key aspects of the role include:

Providing expertise and leadership for the University in the areas of leadership and management development.Analysing organisational needs and develop business cases for investment in collaboration with stakeholders at all levels. Designing a comprehensive leadership and management development programme for staff across the UniversityDelivering foundational and strategic training productsManaging external suppliers of learning and learning software solutionsActing as an internal consultant to projects, programmes, and departments across the University, delivering bespoke solutionsEnhancing the quality and impact of staff development work by introducing new and best-practice methods where appropriate.

About you:

You will enjoy designing and delivering learning experiences that make a difference to people and teams – both as part of a strategic approach to development, and in concert with colleagues who are working on complex change initiatives. You do not need to have worked in Higher Education before but experience designing or implementing effective development interventions within a complex organisation is critical. You will demonstrate:

About the team:

We are a small, agile team that sits within the wider HR department. We run day-to-day processes alongside projects that have team, departmental and University-level impact. We are collaborative, supportive and valued; delivering meaningful change that lasts. 

In addition to learning and organisational design/development, the wider team also covers academic promotion, reward, and people data insights.

This is a part-time role, working 0.8 FTE (29.2 hours per week).
