The University plans to deliver capital, long term maintenance and space reconfiguration both within Campus Infrastructure and within the wider University community to ensure continued student and staff satisfaction. 

It is anticipated that we will be delivering in excess £50m of campus infrastructure projects, annually and this scale of delivery, on what is a compact and complex campus, requires significant planning and management.

In this role you will:have strategic responsibility for all Campus Infrastructure project management including the ongoing development of standards and processes.work with the Director and provide leadership for the effective delivery of all capital, refurbishment, LTM and PPM projects, n time, on budget, to agreed quality specification.appoint external consultants and contractors to ensure delivery of the University’s short term goals and longer term aspirations, and ensure the University follows construction best practice.create and maintain customer relationships, manage feedback and satisfaction to ensure constant service improvement.develop the internal Campus Infrastructure project management team and embed a customer service ethos in their approach.You should have:strong evidence of successfully leading and delivering a variety of substantial and complex building and construction programmes including capital and refurbishment and long term maintenancedemonstrable experience of managing the complex interdependencies across major projects and programmes ensuring appropriate risk managementevidence of building, leading and motivating large multidisciplinary internal and external teams ensuring alignment with delivery goalsevidence of effective financial planning, budget management and report writing ensuring accurate cash flow forecasting and risk management throughout a programmesubstantial experience as a senior manager in an organisation of comparable scope, size and complexity

A degree (or equivalent) qualification in construction, project management, facilities management or related discipline is desirable, along with a relevant professional qualification (e.g. APM, CEng, MRIBA, MRICS) or equivalent.

This is a full-time position, working 36.5 hours per week. You will, however, be part of an on-call rota.
