We are seeking a Technical Supervisor to support the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.

Within this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of technical services in support of teaching and research activities across the department. The facilities include a diverse range of laboratories and workshops sited across three separate buildings.

Your responsibilities will include:

Allocating tasks amongst the technical teamProviding specialist technical advice to a wide range of staffEnsuring Health and Safety standards are metPurchasing and procurement for projects and activitiesEnsuring regular testing, servicing and maintenance of equipment and machinery

You will employ a high degree of interpersonal skills and technical expertise in motivating the team, as well as providing support and guidance to team members, academic colleagues and students. You will be responsible for the direct line management of the Technical Staff in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, which currently comprise a team of 8.

This is an open-ended position, working full time on campus. Due to the nature of the role, remote working is not applicable to this position.
