About the role

Gain valuable research experience of clinical trials. Join an experienced team delivering a multi-site randomised controlled trial investigating the effectiveness of guided self-help for depression for autistic adults. The ADEPT-2 study https://adept.blogs.bristol.ac.uk/ is a collaboration led by Professor Ailsa Russell at the Centre for Applied Autism Research (CAAR), Psychology, University of Bath. 

Working closely with a clinical trials unit at university of Bristol and research teams in several NHS regions, this research assistant role is key to successful delivery of the study. 

You will be based at the University of Bath is a key member of the team, supporting central research team and regional sites. Recruitment to the study is now complete and the study enters the follow-up phase. The role will support follow-up, patient and public involvement and dissemination work. The successful candidate will join the Centre for Applied Autism Research (CAAR), taking a lead on integrating the dissemination and involvement strands of ADEPT-2 with the wider work of CAAR.

This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours) fixed term basis with an expected end date of 31/12/2024. 

About you 

You will:

Have sound knowledge of clinical trials methods.Good knowledge about autism. Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.Excellent IT skills. Experience of and enjoy involving autistic people in research. Bring to the project a commitment to patient and public involvement and experience of co-production.
