About the role

We are looking for a motivated individual to join the Advancement Office at the University of Bath. 

The Prospect Research Officer will identify, research and qualify potential donors and supporters including individuals, companies and trusts and foundations for the University of Bath, helping grow philanthropic income to support the University’s ambitions. This role might be known as a Prospect Development Officer, Prospect Researcher, Fundraising Intelligence Officer, Research Analyst or Business Intelligence Officer in other organisations and sectors.

Your focus as the Prospect Research Officer will be to identify and research potential donors and supporters who can help the University meet its strategic objectives. 

You will work both independently and collaboratively, ensuring effective flow of communication to and from fundraisers to maximise opportunities with prospects.

With excellent organisational skills, you will demonstrate a good use of initiative and have the ability to multi-task and prioritise multiple demands on your time. You will be passionate about research and have the ability to distil large amounts of information into succinct briefings for varied stakeholders. Attention to detail and excellent research skills are essential.
