Salary: Grade (£25,742 - £29,605 p.a. depending on experience) 

This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements. 

You will be responsible for handling aspects of the VAT, corporate and employer taxes processes, ensuring that procedures are properly understood and carried out. You will ideally have knowledge and understanding of tax, PAYE or VAT impact for businesses, however training will be given for the right candidate.  

You will play a key role in enabling the team to meet the University’s tax compliance obligations, undertaking data analysis and providing advice on a range of tax issues.  In the role of Technical Tax Assistant, the development of your technical tax knowledge will be supported by the other team members who are specialists across UK and international taxes, being involved in their diverse impact for the University from all aspects including VAT, corporate tax and employer tax perspectives.
