We have two part time vacancies for Domestic Assistant/ Cleaners to provide a high quality service in our student accommodation. You’ll have a key role in helping students transition from living at home to fully independent living and ensuring all our accommodation users have the best possible experience when staying with us.

As a Domestic Assistant/ Cleaner you will be required to clean student kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms in accordance with service level agreements and standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Full details of this role are included in the Job Description.

The hours for these part time positions (27.5hrs) is 10am to 4pm. As this is a permanent day time role, if you are a student at University of Bath, you may consider applying instead to one of our hourly paid roles. These can be more flexible around your availability (see SU Jobs ).

The residences are mainly used by students, but during summer it is also used by external customers so there is an expectation to work weekends on a rota basis during summer. You will work 5 days out of 7 and have days off during the week when you are required to work at weekends. 

Previous experience of cleaning work is highly desirable as is experience of working in a hotel or student accommodation environment. If you enjoy striving to achieve high levels of customer service and working within a team then this could be the role for you. We’re interested in your personality, whether you can offer a warm welcome and be a team player.

The University of Bath's Campus Services houses over 5000 students throughout the academic year and during the summer months, external companies use our accommodation services for conferences, summer camps and away days.

The Campus Services department was created in August 2022 by combining all the facilities teams across the University into one department to support our University strategy, where strong campus services are essential to underpin excellence in education, research and experience for students, staff, visitors and commercial customers alike.   

With over 400 staff, Campus Services consists of a diverse range of teams including Residence Living, hospitality, retail, cleaning and portering, security, postal services and landscaping.

Campus Services New Starter bonus*. In addition to the great benefits Campus Services’ offers, we can offer you a bonus. This is payable the month after successfully passing your six months’ probation. Please note as this bonus is pro rata for part time roles, it’s £700.
