The ISC (International Conference on Geotechnical and Geophysical Site Characterization) conferences are regular events promoted by ISSMGEs TC102 (Technical Committee for Ground Property Characterization from In-Situ Tests) to gather experts and practitioners in the areas of geotechnical characterization, with special emphasis on in situ mechanical and geophysical testing tools and procedures. Since 1998, geotechnical engineers, geologist and geophysicists from all over the world have gathered at ISCs in Atlanta (1998), Porto (2004), Taipei (2008), Recife (2012), Gold Coast (2016) and Budapest (2021) to share their knowledge and experiences.
