The Systems Biology of Human Disease (SBHD) conference series is a binational annual event initially launched by Peter Sorger and colleagues at Harvard Medical School in 2008 with its location alternating between the USA and Germany. The SBHD focuses on systems biology approaches for the understanding, diagnosis, and therapy of human diseases. In addition to talks given by invited speakers, the SBHD has had a good tradition of including short talks, as well as an extended poster session selected from submitted abstracts.
