The report, Neurological disorders: Public health challenges, reveals that of the one billion people affected worldwide, 50 million suffer from epilepsy and 24 million from Alzheimer and other dementias. Rare neurological disorders like muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy and convulsive disorders etc., these are the diseases which don’t have long term cure. According to the University of California, San Francisco, there are more than 600 neurological disorders. Neurological disorders are diseases that affect the brain and the central and autonomic nervous systems.
