It has become more and more clear with time that the commonly used energy resources are either getting exhausted or pose serious environmental concerns, making it essential to hunt for alternative solutions. This provides a huge scope for the development of new technologies at a molecular level with fundamental insights and at an industrial level with efficient implementations. The awareness of these challenges and scopes is the foundation of a new conceptual thinking within research in natural sciences, "Green Chemistry". This symposium aims to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of this concept by focusing on different dimensions of catalysis such as, Heterogeneous Catalysis, Homogeneous Catalysis, Bio-catalysis and Industrial Catalysis.
