The course is designed to expose researchers to the various experimental tools used for studying iron in biological systems. It will cover tracing iron speciation and dynamics, from solution to cells to organs, with major emphasis on fluorescence techniques available in most laboratories. Assessment of iron status in humans in health and disease will also be covered.
Topics: iron, biological systems, fluorescence techniques, human health, biomedicine, biochemistry, physiology, immunology, molecular biology
