FRM — The annual conference of the Foundation for Reproductive Medicine

After careful preparation, and a commitment to “being different” from other medical conferences, the FRMC over the past few years, despite an ever-increasing density of conferences in reproductive medicine, has attained a very special reputation for avoiding “politically correctness” and the usual industry pressures in selecting topics and the invited speakers for their presentation.

Over two-and-a-half days, based on most recent publications, the conference presents in a single room the year’s Who’s Who in reproductive biology and clinical reproductive medicine for an authoritative annual update on newly evolving paradigms in basic sciences and clinical medicine.

A conference like the FRMC, simply, does not exist anywhere else in the world, which is one reason why we have been welcoming hundreds of attendees from over 40 countries to New York City every year. By addressing clinicians and scientists as audience, FRMC offers both groups a unique and intimate framework for interactions and exchanges of ideas.

“Think differently”, from the beginning FRMC’s principal slogan, represents truly the essence of the program, and virtually guarantees attendees information they, likely will not be exposed to elsewhere until often years later.

As has been tradition, on Thursday afternoon preceding the start of the conference, FRMC-2019 will again offer pre-conference workshops which cover in depth important clinical or basic science subjects. These workshops take place in relatively small break-out rooms with only limited seating capacity. We, therefore, recommend early registration.

Every year the FRMC offers a truly stellar invited international faculty of unique breadth, expertise and knowledge, and we pride ourselves of having introduced many “rising starts,” who are now in much demand at other conferences. Invitations to join FRMC, therefore, have become highly coveted, which allows us to be highly selective in choosing speakers. Invited faculty not only must be excellent speakers but also must have something interesting to report.

We, in addition, again anticipate a significant scientific contribution from younger physicians and basic scientists and encourages them to submit abstracts. Those accepted, will be presented as posters, with lead authors of accepted abstracts (if under age 40) automatically eligible for discounted registration and a “Young Investigator Award” of up to $5,000. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics (JARG) and, therefore, citable.
