Der IIK ist die größte Fortbildungsveranstaltung für pädiatrische Infektiologie in Deutschland. Er richtet sich an niedergelassene und in der Klinik tätige Ärztinnen und Ärzte, die sich auf den aktuellen Stand der Diagnostik und Therapie von Infektionen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen bringen möchten. Schwerpunkte des Programms sind rationale Antibiotikatherapie und Verzahnung der klinischen Infektiologie mit der mikrobiologischen Diagnostik.
