Why Should You Attend:
In March, 2012 OSHA published an update of its Hazard Communication Standard to correspond with the UN’s Globally Harmonized Communication System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). The new standard is designed to help employees better understand the hazards of the chemicals with which they are working. In addition, changes to the Hazard Communication Standard will affect hazard classification, labeling, material safety data sheets and training. Also, new criteria have been established for Hazard Classification in order to address physical hazards of chemicals, and chemical mixtures.
