Over the past 60 years, polymers have made an outstanding contribution to the development of modern society in every field. The substitution of traditional materials with tailored polymer systems in the most diverse applications has allowed us to overcome important technological challenges and improve the quality of life. Today, however, polymeric materials face a new challenge: reconciling the technological progress and well-being of people with the preservation of the planet, from a circular economy perspective. The purpose of the meeting is to bring together scientists from academia and industry to present leading-edge research on the advancements in polymer science and technology in all its main aspects, with a particular emphasis on those aiming to preserve and improve the health of the planet and of people, as per title.
