OPAMME — Optical Astronomy in the Multi-Messenger Era

The school, organised by the Department of Physics of the University of Genova, Italy, within the ‘Dipartimenti di Eccellenza MIUR’ project, is primarily aimed at Ph.D students interested in optical astronomy. The lectures will cover: science with optical telescopes in the multi-messenger era, with examples from ongoing and future experiments and links to multi-disciplinary topics, hardware and software for optical telescopes, a practical hands-on session with a 80-cm robotic telescope, featuring joint observations with other telescopes throughout Italy. A flash-talk session, where all participants will have the chance to show their work, will also take place.
