This EMBO Workshop series broadly addresses the molecular mechanisms linked to transactions occuring in the eukaryotic cell nucleus (gene expression, nuclear organization/compartmentalization, chromatin remodelling, RNA processing and trafficking, development, evolution, diseases linked to defective nuclear processes). The latest developments will be covered by an outstanding line-up of speakers, and a broad collection of topics are covered. An emphasis is always given to emerging topics and new technologies, which allows attendees to obtain an integrative and up-to date view of the cell's nucleus biology. The workshop usually gathers cell biologists, biochemists and a growing number of physicists/biophysicists due to the types of novel approaches developped and efforts to model and quantify nuclear transactions, which are currently revolutionizing the field and strongly influencing future research.
