This GRS attracts trainees studying different mechanisms of alcohol-induced tissue injury and treatment targets in various cells, organs, and systems. Participation in the trainee-led GRS will aid early-career scientists in putting their work into the “bigger picture” of alcohol-induced end-organ diseases and gain a deeper perspective on different approaches in alcohol research. The trainee-led format of the GRS will allow participants to share recent progress and unpublished data on their work. Importantly, the GRS fosters a close community between participants and will provide trainees with ample networking opportunities with fellow scientists.
