The University of Surrey invites applications for Professor (Pharmaceutical Sciences) role. This is a permanent academic post in the expanding field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, based in our thriving School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.

About the School
The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering is one of four major interdisciplinary schools within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, and chemical engineering. As part of the University’s strategic vision, the School is advancing ambitious research and teaching initiatives to ensure our graduates are equipped for successful and impactful careers. Collegiality and cross-disciplinary collaboration are central to our ethos. Our facilities include state-of-the-art laboratories, such as our award winning pilot plant and modern lecture theatres on our beautiful Stag Hill campus in Guildford.
Your Role
Successful candidates will:
Lead or contribute to internationally recognised research in pharmaceutical sciences.Deliver high-quality teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, focussing on pharmaceutical sciences but with overlap into the chemistry and chemical engineering programmes.Supervise student (UG & PG(T)) research projects and contribute to curriculum design and assessment.Engage with student recruitment, support, and professional development.Build collaborations with industry and support development of training opportunities.Areas of Expertise

Computational Pharmaceutical Sciences, including molecular dockingSeparation Sciences, for small- and large-scale pharmaceutical and chemical engineering applicationsPharmacology / PharmacokineticsFormulation ScienceMetals and Materials Science, applied within pharmaceutical or inorganic chemistry contextsWhat We are Looking For
