Interviews are expected to be held week commencing 20 October 2025

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner.   We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you an effective administrator? Do you have experience of evaluating the effectiveness of projects and activities to support continuous improvement? Would you like to support the University of Leeds to deliver an extended welcome programme for all students throughout their student journey from accepting a place to graduation?

The University has undertaken extensive work on Welcome, Induction and Transition (WIT) which has highlighted that students’ needs are varied and numerous, from study skills to basic life skills and support in making connections. They also incorporate a broad mix of educational, practical and pastoral care. There is a need to meet all these needs, not just in the weeks immediately before or after arrival, but throughout our students' time at Leeds.

In this role you will work as part of a team, playing a key role in embedding, extending and sustaining an ‘all-year-round’ approach to WIT. You will support a range of projects, events and activities to ensure that students feel welcome on campus (and beyond) and develop a sense of belonging to the university, their course and the wider community?  You will also have responsibility for regularly evaluating projects and events to ensure continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include providing administrative support for a range of projects; assisting with event planning and facilitation, monitoring the team inbox and responding to enquiries, assisting with the administration of a pool of student ambassadors, regularly evaluating project activities and events using quantitative and qualitative research methods (such as creating surveys / feedback forms) and assisting with the co-ordination and facilitation of focus groups/workshops as well as assisting with the creation of reports based on their findings. You will have experience of monitoring and evaluating activities / projects and collating data, excellent organisational and communication skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, attention to detail and an ability to work flexibly to balance priorities?

Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role is not suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants.  Information on other visa options is available at: https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration/work-visas
