The Biodiscovery Institute (BDI) is a collaborative post-graduate research facility with academics from across six Schools at the University of Nottingham. The BDI comprises 3 buildings and contains a series of laboratories and office spaces supporting 850+ staff and students.

This crucial role is based within the BDI building support team goods in area which is dedicated to supporting the operation of the Institute.

It a busy goods-in receipting area and will receive, organise, and allocate all consumable equipment and laboratory goods deliveries for the Institute coordinating and documenting the deliveries and manning a goods in desk for distribution of the goods

In addition you will be dealing with post and telephone enquiries, entering, and checking data in Excel, ordering consumables and covering front of house reception.

We have a team-orientated approach, and you should have excellent interpersonal, organisational, and written and verbal communication skills, and good attention to detail. The role will involve manual handling.

Candidates must have a good general education, including maths and English GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), or relevant vocational qualifications.

This is a permanent, full time position (36.25 hours per week).
