A new opportunity to join the Estate and FM team as a Halls Operations Manager has opened

Are you an experienced operator with a passion for delivering excellent residential services? We’re looking for a proactive and organised Halls Operations Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day running of our university‑owned halls of residence at Phoenix Halls and Paddock Field.

In this key job, we will want you to lead teams responsible for cleaning, maintenance, and front‑of‑house services, ensuring our student residents receive a safe, supportive, and high‑quality living experience. You’ll manage staff, monitor service performance, oversee compliance and Health & Safety, and drive continuous improvements across our residential estate. In this varied role you will also play an important part in wider campus operations and contribute to business continuity through participation in the duty manager on‑call rota.

We are looking for someone who:

Is an excellent communicatorHas strong organisational skillsHas a background in facilities or residential operationsHas experience in leading teams, delivering high‑quality customer‑facing services, managing multiple workstreams, and implementing effective processes and improvements

This post is a full time (37.0 hours per week) permanent position, and we welcome applications from candidates looking to job share.
