Senior Project Manager – ORBIT Programme (NIHR i4i)

Full-time, 36.25 hours per week | Fixed term until 31 December 2028

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Project Manager to lead delivery of our new threeâyear NIHR i4i (Invention for Innovation) Transformative and Disruptive Innovation Grant, Transforming Treatment for Young People with Tic Disorders: Scalable, Evidence-Based Digital Therapy (ORBIT).

This is an exciting opportunity to manage a nationally significant programme involving leading experts in tic disorders and partners across academia, the NHS, industry and the charity sector, including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Blum Health, Health Innovation East Midlands, the Centre for Healthcare Equipment and Technology Adoption (CHEATA), and Tourettes Action.

A typical day could involve coordinating work package activity, supporting collaborators, managing project risks and resources, liaising with NIHR, and promoting project progress and outputs nationally and internationally. A core focus will be delivery of a multiâsite realâworld evaluation within CAMHS and Paediatric Services in England. ORBIT has been provisionally recommended by NICE through the Early Value Assessment, and this role will be instrumental in generating evidence to support full recommendation.

About the team

You will join the welcoming and collaborative Mental Health & Technology Research Group, based in the Institute of Mental Health. The team includes the NIHR MindTech HealthTech Research Centre and the Mental Health & Technology theme of the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre.

About you

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Experience of managing largeâscale research, realâworld evaluations and/or NHS implementation projectsStrong facilitation skills and the ability to navigate power dynamicsConfidence in making informed and sometimes challenging decisionsExcellent interpersonal and communication abilitiesAn honours degree and project management qualification, or equivalent experience
