We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and hardworking individual to join our team of clerical assistants within Financial Services. You will be required to prepare, input and maintain data to support the University’s financial systems, and also assist in the cashiering and debt recovery function of the University. You will be dealing with a variety of enquiries and should relish the challenge of providing our customers with an excellent experience.
Experience of working in an accounts office or a financial setting is desirable. You must have an aptitude to learn quickly and an ability to use your initiative teamed with a flexible attitude to your work. You will be part of a small team and therefore you should show you have the team working skills necessary to undertake the role. Financial Services deal with a variety of customers and suppliers and you will need a talent for dealing with people at all levels.
With a good standard of achievement in at least four GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English you will also have good computer keyboard skills including data entry, together with a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel. If you have knowledge of Oracle Financials or other University systems, such as SITS, this would be beneficial.
