Research Data Librarian (CC5182)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual with proven communication skills and a passion for open science to join our Research Data Service within the University of Bath Library.

The Research Data Librarian is responsible for maintaining and delivering a comprehensive programme of guidance materials, workshops, and online training resources to support researchers throughout the University with their research data management needs.

Communication and interpersonal skills are essential in this role where you will be working with academic/research support colleagues across the Library and Professional Services, the research and digital communities, and a range of external bodies, to develop a highly relevant and trusted service. You will be credible, confident and adept in the development and delivery of teaching and supporting e-materials to researchers, and to be able to respond effectively to academic challenge and questions.

You will have significant experience in data curation and be familiar with the research data lifecycle and associated systems alongside a strong understanding of both the research environment within Higher Education and recent developments in the sector relating to Open Access and Research Data Management.
