Description :

Are you a highly motivated individual with a background in computer science, physical science or engineering? Do you want to be part of an exciting and internationally-leading Facility? Are you ready to take on the challenge of managing FAAM’s data products in support of atmospheric measurement programmes?

As a part of FAAM’s multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, aircraft operators and logistical support you will be responsible for managing the delivery of aircraft data: processing and quality controlling the raw data and delivering the defined and documented data products to users. You will take the lead in developing FAAM’s data infrastructure, working with colleagues in NCAS and the Met Office to ensure consistent, up-to-date data standards. You will also be expected to support data users accessing FAAM data products as well as operate airborne research instruments for worldwide deployment when required.

You will have a higher degree qualification or equivalent work experience in computer science, physical science or an engineering discipline and will work in the laboratory, on the atmospheric research aircraft and in the field from FAAM’s base at Cranfield University. This post will be employed by the University of Leeds, however it is entirely based on the campus at Cranfield University.
