Kitchen Porter (CA8171-17-189-R)

Working at our Varley Park Halls of Residence, where we offer a full range of hospitality and accommodation services to enhance our students' experience at university, you will assist the kitchen and events teams in the preparation and delivery of all meal requirements, while maintaining the kitchen as a safe and hygienic environment in which to work.

Duties will include operating dishwashing and pot washing machines safely, safe usage of approved cleaning chemicals, receiving and recording deliveries and preparation and cleaning of all equipment for events.  Some heavy lifting will be required, in accordance with manual handling regulations.

Your experience of working in a busy commercial kitchen environment will be key to success in the role, while your ability to respond confidently and comfortably with all users of the kitchen and to meet objectives and standards on your own initiative will also be essential.

Hours of work will be 7.00 am until 3.00 pm Monday to Friday.  Previous applicants need not apply.
