Catering Assistant (CA0173)

The post is part-time part year, i.e. 25 hours per week x 26 weeks per year; flexibility in working days/hours will be required as it is expected that the post holder will work 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis which will, due to the nature of the work, including evenings and weekends. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to support our busy campus catering and hospitality team. We provide food and drink to more than 18,500 students and staff members, as well as visitors, through our eight cafes and restaurants. Our focus is on providing fresh, delicious and affordable food choices.

As well as providing catering to staff and students, Commercial Services manages our student halls of residence in Cottingham and provides conference and event services. This includes the provision of catering for functions ranging from small meetings to large outdoor exhibitions.

With significant investment in many of our commercial facilities, this is an exciting time to join our delivered hospitality team. 

The successful candidate will be a reliable and organised person who is able to work under pressure and as part of a team. A good working knowledge gained in a similar environment is desirable, but this is not essential as full training will be given.
