Laboratory Technician (Research) (048618)

The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Surrey is a recognised world-leader in biosciences research.

We are looking to recruit a skilled laboratory technician to support our bacteriology research laboratory. Duties include providing technical expertise to academic staff and students, ensuring a high level of laboratory health and safety and maintenance and calibration of lab equipment. There will also be the opportunity to be involved in various research projects.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience of working in a laboratory, good communication skills, a strong understanding of laboratory health and safety and a practical approach to work.

This post will involve manual handling of sensitive equipment and the post holder will need to work flexibly and independently toward agreed goals.
