Working across University Park and Jubilee Campus the main duties for this role will include ensuring cleaning standards are monitored and maintained within University buildings, all aspects of staff supervision, ordering stock, reporting faults and liaising with other departments to ensure best practice is adhered to. The successful candidate will also be required to complete relevant documentation for absence and disciplinary matters, hold regular staff meetings and liaise with clients for special cleaning requirements within the designated area of work.

As this post will be working across a range of buildings candidates should have extensive experience of the cleaning industry including knowledge of a vast range of cleaning equipment and techniques, have knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent customer service skills are also essential for the role. Supervisory experience gained within a similar role and a full, current driving licence (unless disability precludes this) are desirable.

Hours of work are 11.25 per week, worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged, mainly worked between 5.00pm and 8.00pm but with flexibility to work between 6.00am and 8.00am at weekends,

This post will be offered on a permanent basis for 52 weeks of the year.
