Description :

Do you have experience working in organometallic chemistry and catalysis? Are you passionate about developing sustainable processes, with an interest in continuous flow systems?

Outstanding individuals with a background in the relevant fields are invited to apply for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position on the EPSRC funded project in Organometallic Catalysis using High-Throughput Flow Reactor Technology. You will work within both the School of Chemistry and the School of Chemical Engineering and be part of a multidisciplinary team working on the discovery and optimisation of metal catalysts using a unique flow reactor platform which is currently under development in Leeds. You will work alongside a Postdoctoral Research Assistant with expertise in process chemistry and flow reactor technology. The project will deliver new catalytic processes for industrially-relevant transformations, with a focus on the development of more sustainable systems.

With a PhD (or have submitted your thesis prior to taking up the appointment) in chemistry or a closely related field and experience in organometallic chemistry and catalysis, you will work within the groups of Dr Charlotte Willans (Chemistry), Dr Richard Bourne (Chemistry/Engineering), Dr Bao Nguyen (Chemistry/Engineering) and Professor Nik Kapur (Engineering). You will also work closely with industrial partners on the project, disseminating work as appropriate and ensuring that we are working towards industrially-relevant goals.
