This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing team of engineers and surveyors as we continue to develop a world class estate. The University of Lincoln’s Estate extends to over 110,000m2 in over 150 buildings across Lincoln and Lincolnshire. 

You will be working with the Maintenance team who are responsible for the delivery of all aspects of reactive, planned and long term maintenance. Managing in-house and contract staff and ensuring health and safety are paramount.

This role will predominantly be operating the Support Desk within the Estates department. The support desk receives requests for the upkeep and maintenance of University buildings across all campuses. The support desk also receives requests regarding cleaning, porterage and security. The role will involve taking requests, logging jobs via our CAFM system, chasing outstanding jobs, and updating requestors on progress.

The role will require a proactive and flexible approach to the delivery of the support desk service and management of Estates contractors and works. You will work with minimal supervision and are expected to use judgement and initiative to make appropriate decisions. The role requires high levels of customer service to ensure customers have a positive experience while making requests and ensure their expectations are set and maintained.

The role will require high levels of accuracy, good methodical working practices and must ensure that accurate records are held of all communicated requests from inception to completion.

You will be expected to adopt a flexible working approach in order to assist in the demands placed upon the team.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
