Birmingham City University’s Workload Allocation Model seeks to deliver equity and flexibility in how teaching, research and management work is shared out among  the University’s diverse and dedicated body  of academic staff, facilitating improvements to student experience, and teaching and research quality in line with the University’s strategy, as well as delivering key metrics to inform strategic- level decision making.     Birmingham City University seeks a skilled Change Manager to manage the implementation and embedding of a Workload Allocation Model at Birmingham City University.   The main tasks include project management of the WAM implementation, budget and risk management, project documentation, system adoption by stakeholders, and supporting the project governance including the Project Board chaired by a member of the University’s Executive.   You will work closely with the WAM Systems Developer to ensure key technical and reporting milestones are reached.   Crucially the role is about facilitating culture change as to how planning and resourcing of workload is undertaken at the University, ensuring a smooth transition to business as usual and helping full benefits realisation - utilising advocacy skills  and coordinating training and support for a wide group of different stakeholders.  You will have a project or change management qualification, along with experience of working in a change/project management role in a complex organisation.  You will have great influencing and interpersonal skills within a matrix management structure, and a sound understanding of risk and budget management.    You will need good IT skills and skills in report writing and project board support.
