We’re dedicated to providing our students with the very best learning, teaching and support to help them develop both professionally and personally. We invite applications for a senior lecturer post from like-minded individuals who can share their enthusiasm and expertise with the next generation of speech and language therapists. This 1 year fixed term contract offers the opportunity to contribute to the education of students attending the BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy course focusing on students’ knowledge and skills of linguistics, particularly practical phonetics. Depending on your qualifications and experience, there would also be opportunities to contribute to teaching and assessment in your clinical area of expertise, preferably paediatric communication needs. The successful applicant should hold an honours degree in linguistics or similar field (e.g., English Language). Ideally applicants will also hold a qualification in speech and language therapy with HCPC registration and RCSLT membership. You will have relevant teaching and/or clinical experience preferably with clients with paediatric speech and language needs. In addition, applicants should demonstrate an interest in research and developing best practice.
