We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused Campus Logistics Assistant to join our busy Campus Logistics team. This team aims to provide a professional and cost efficient logistics and distribution service to the University. The role of Campus Logistics Assistant is varied and involves working as part of a team to deliver an efficient and professional service to our customers and is vital in contributing to the smooth operation of the University.
Key tasks include responsibility for the receiving, sorting and delivery of post around the campus and acting as the initial point of contact for customer queries. In addition you will carry out a range of general portering duties such as the removal and distribution of furniture and equipment across the University campus. You will also be responsible for the collection of waste and the segregation of recyclable material. Other duties involve assisting with office moves, setting up teaching spaces and driving University vehicles, therefore a clear full driving licence is essential for this role. Manual Handling experience is essential and experience in a similar/related portering role would be beneficial.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide high levels of customer service, work well as part of a team and will undertake mandatory training as required.
