Description :
Lancaster Arts: Where ideas, people and creativity connect

We are delighted to be recruiting an Associate Creative Producer for our creative programme who will join our Programming team and support the development of our commissions programme. You will work closely with our Creative Producer and Curator and be at the centre of our engagement work across our whole programme, from developing workshops in our ticketed programme, through to engagement with university colleagues and the public in our commissioned arts programme.

This is a fantastic role for someone who is passionate about creative producing in a broad range of art forms, as Lancaster Arts is a combined arts organisation of Arts Council England. You will be committed to supporting and developing artists’ work and the participants and audiences for it. You will have a track record of high quality producing with a deep understanding of the creative process and an understanding of the creative ecology of the northwest. You will also be someone who can grow and develop with us as we explore further opportunities together.

Lancaster Arts is a distinctive contemporary arts organisation in the North West of England with a renowned reputation for cutting edge arts practice in all art forms. Our home is at the heart of the beautiful Lancaster University campus and our venues include the Great Hall, Nuffield Theatre and Peter Scott Gallery and we regularly host work off campus in the Lancaster District. We host a wide spectrum of events and participatory opportunities across contemporary theatre, dance, music, visual art, live art, contemporary circus, and comedy, and we work closely with partners locally, regionally and internationally to achieve this.

Lancaster Arts is committed to attracting and recruiting diverse candidates, particularly from communities who are currently less represented in the North West, including those with protected characteristics. We will guarantee interview to (dis)abled candidates who meet all essential criteria. As a National Portfolio Organisation for Arts Council England, we are champions for the Creative Case for Diversity. If you require an application form in a different format (Braille, large print, audio) please get in touch with our administrator at Administrator at d.p.davies@lancaster.ac.uk.

The Associate Creative Producer is on a fixed term basis to the end of our current funding agreement with Arts Council England, which ends March 31st 2022.

Interviews will be held on January 13th or 14th, 2020. It is hoped that the successful applicant will be able to start working with us during our Spring season (end of January to March 1 2020).

To apply, please write a covering letter, indicating how you respond to the job description and specifications.

We welcome applications from people in all diversity groups.
