About You 

You will have the ability to develop high quality teaching and learning materials, deliver stimulating research-informed teaching sessions, and assess students’ work according to the university guidelines. Supporting all aspects of students’ learning is a key part of the role, including in small-group and large-session contexts, and across the programmes delivered on the main campus and the outreach centres. To be successful you will have an enthusiastic teaching style coupled with excellent communication and organisational skills. 

About the Role

You will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our Science QTS programmes, contributing to the delivery of our modules on Biology, Chemistry, Physics and general science education as well as other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience. We would particularly welcome candidates who could teach on more than one of our QTS programmes.

You will be expected to contribute to the research profile of the Department through the activities of one of our Research Units, and to meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework.
